Rooms-   Our seven guest rooms are honorarily named (though not themed) after authors & one musician.  While we do not service the guest rooms while you are checked in, should anything need attention just let us know and we'll be happy to take care of it.  Simple yet attentive.....

Bathrooms-  Two guest rooms have private bathrooms, the other five have use of 2 full and 1 half bathrooms. If you are wondering, the shared bathrooms are single person use, and with multiple loos available waiting is not an issue.

3rd guest-  Add $10 per night for a 3rd guest - if needed, an extra twin mattress can brought in any room except the Raymond Carver or Gao Xingjian.  Parties of 4 would need to reserve 2 rooms.

Cancellations-  Rooms canceled within a week of their date will be billed to your credit card unless they are re-booked, in which case there is no charge.  There are no charges for rooms canceled outside of a week's notice.

8+ Nights- Stays of over a week require a $100 non-refundable deposit.  The remaining balance is charged 30 days prior to arrival, at which point canceled nights are not refundable unless re-booked.  A mid week cleaning and laundry change is arranged, too.  Maximum length of stay is 3 weeks.

Minimum age for children is 4 years old

Holidays-  We are open everyday.  However, certain holidays you need to check-in beforehand & check-out afterwards: July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Year's.  This is known as a stay-thru.

Groups- Sorry but we do not accept group reservations - we recommend searching online for vacation rentals for this.  We ask, too, that you not try to get around this by booking rooms separately.

Check-in begins at 1 pm, and check-out is by 11am. We can store your luggage for the day, no problem, and you are welcome to relax in the social rooms for the afternoon.

Room Heat & A/C-  All guest rooms have in-room heating controls, all but the Gao Xingjian and the Elliott Smith have window a/c units in the summer.

Continental Breakfast consists of: coffee, tea, fruit, bagels, muffins and pancakes (u make them). There are a few great cafes in the neighborhood that serve up choice breakfasts, if you are so inclined, like Detours Cafe @ Division & 30th.

Kitchen-  Yes, there is a full kitchen that you are welcome to cook in & prepare meals, as well as storage and a fridge. We ask that you leave the space clean when you are finished.

Communications-  There are no televisions. We do have free wi-fi throughout the house, a free internet computer, and a free local phone. Or perhaps crack open a book from the shelves.

Toiletries & Laundry-  Robes, towels, wash cloths, soap, shampoo and a hair dryer are all provided. An iron and coin-op laundry machines are available in the basement.

Parking is on the street, though there are no meters, no time limits, and there is almost always a spot available on our block.  Bicycle parking is available in the basement via a side door.

Locale-   We are a 12 - 15 minute drive to downtown and City Bus 4 stops 1/2 block away. We are in a lovely neighborhood to walk around in - lots of shops, cafes, restaurants, friendly people and beautiful architecture.

No's- No pets/animals and no smoking inside.
