Rooms-   Our seven guest rooms are honorarily named (though not themed) after authors & one musician.  While we do not service the rooms while you are checked in, if anything needs attention just let us know and we'll be happy to take care of it.  Simple yet attentive.....

Bathrooms-  Two guest rooms have private bathrooms, the other five have use of 2 full and 1 half bathrooms. If you are wondering, the shared bathrooms are single person use, and with multiple loos available waiting is not an issue.  Not sure about sharing? We challenge you to give it a try! (Seriously, once you lock the door it's all yours).

3rd guest-  Add $10 for a 3rd guest - if needed, an extra twin mattress can brought in any room except the Raymond Carver or Gao Xingjian.  Parties of 4 or more would need to reserve 2 rooms.

Cancellations-  Rooms canceled within a week of their date will be charged to your credit card. 8+ nights- ask for specifics.

Minimum age for children is 4 years old

Room Heat & A/C-  All guest rooms have in-room heating controls, all but the Gao Xingjian and Elliott Smith have window a/c units in the summer.

Continental Breakfast consists of: coffee, tea, fruit, bagels, english muffins, and pancakes (u make them). There are a few great cafes in the neighborhood that serve up choice breakfasts, if you are so inclined, like Detours Cafe @ Division & 30th Ave.

Kitchen-  Yes, there is a full kitchen that you are welcome to cook in & prepare meals, as well as storage and a fridge. We ask that you leave the space clean when you are finished.

Check-in begins at 1 pm, and check-out is by 11am. We can store your luggage for the day, no problem, and you are welcome to relax in the social rooms for the afternoon.

Locale-   We are a 12 - 15 minute drive to downtown and City Bus 4 stops 1/2 block away. We are in one of the best neighborhoods to walk around in - lots of shops, cafes, restaurants, friendly people and beautiful architecture.

Parking is on the street, though there are no meters, no time limits, and there is almost always a spot available on our block.  Bicycle parking is available in the basement via a side door.

Communications-  There are no televisions. We do have free wi-fi, a free internet computer, and a free local phone. Or perhaps crack open a book from the shelves.

Toiletries & Laundry-  Robes, towels, wash cloths, soap, shampoo and a hair dryer are all provided. Laundry machines and an iron are available in the basement.

Holidays-  We are open everyday.  However, certain holidays you need to check-in beforehand, & out afterwards: July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Year's.

No's- No pets and no smoking inside.

As you can see we're not quite what comes to mind when you think of a bed & breakfast. We're a guesthouse, and we hope you have a chance to stay with us.
